I was driving somewhere with Breah and Michael. We were walking somewhere, and during the walk we started talking about how the river was aesthetically pleasing. But for some reason we couldn’t say aesthetically. When we got to the river, Michael jumped in, and I said absolutely not. Have you heard the legends? So I stayed on the bank of the river. The river was called La llrona. And whoever swam there died. Well Michael started swimming, and then Breah joined. When Michael was swimming he went underwater, after whispering some words. Then the point he started to jump in turned blood red. But he was fine so far. Michael dunked breah under the water after saying the words again, almost like condemning her with him. Her area had a little bit of blood red, but not as much as Michael did. Eventually they got out, and Michael said that Breah won’t die unless she wants to. I turned to Breah and asked. And she gave me a look that said “yeh I kinda want to” so I talked to her about it a little bit. Then Michael dropped. But Breah and I continued talking about her mental health and it seemed she was lasting longer than Michael did. She ended up not being taken by the river.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In your dream, several key themes stand out: friendship, danger, choices, and mental health.
Driving and Walking Together: This suggests a journey with your friends, which could symbolize the path you are all taking in life. It indicates a sense of companionship and shared experiences.
The River: Water is often a powerful symbol in dreams, representing emotions and the subconscious. The river, especially with the name "La Llorona," connects to themes of loss and the haunting nature of unaddressed feelings. It serves as a boundary between safety (the bank) and danger (the water).
Aesthetic Appeal vs. Danger: The contrast between how beautiful the river looks and the warnings about it indicates a struggle between attraction to something potentially harmful and the need for caution. This could reflect inner conflicts or concerns in your waking life, possibly about relationships or situations that seem appealing but have underlying risks.
Michael Jumping In: Michael's decision to swim despite the danger suggests impulsiveness or the willingness to take risks. His subsequent actions may reflect a fear or concern you have about someone in your life engaging in harmful behavior or making choices you worry about.
Blood Red Water: The transformation of the water color to blood red could symbolize danger, emotional turmoil, or fear. It might indicate a warning about the consequences of reckless actions.
Breah's Decision: Breah’s choice to join Michael, and her look indicating she “kinda wants to,” speaks to the complexities of mental health and the struggle with feelings of hopelessness or despair. Your conversation about her mental health indicates a desire for her well-being and a need to support her.
Michael's Fate vs. Breah's: Michael's drop could signify a loss or a realization of the seriousness of the situation, perhaps representing how some individuals do not handle their emotional struggles well. Breah’s survival and choice to not succumb to the river may symbolize hope and resilience, suggesting that while she has her struggles, there is a possibility for her to seek support and survive.
Overall, your dream seems to highlight themes of friendship, concern for others, and the nuances of mental health. It may serve as a reminder to support those you care about while also acknowledging the complexities of their emotional states. It may also be reflective of your own fears about being able to protect those you love from potential harm.
